Sydney Sweeney asked her fans to "stop making assumptions."

Sweeney posted on Instagram Saturday that she threw a "surprise hoedown" for her mom's 60th birthday at a barn in Idaho.

But a photo shows a man wearing a shirt with an apparent U.S. flag with a thin blue line, which is commonly associated with the "Blue Lives Matter" slogan.

The photos came under heavy scrutiny from social media users, with most comments made about her and her family's political party.

Sweeney replied on those comments on Saturday afternoon, sayings "this is wild."
