Either they are sad, lonely or just bored. All we want that time is to divert our mind to something elsewhere we can busy ourselves into. It can be a movie, going out for a walk or anything you would like to do.
So let’s discuss what you can do when you feel lonely, sad or bored. Do any of them suitable for you. Just stop sitting wherever you are right now and stop feeling the way you are feeling right now.
Watch a movie or series
Watching a movie or tv series is one of the best ways to divert your mind. It can give you something else to think about. In a movie, there are so many fascinating characters emotions available, it diverts your mind for a while and makes you feel something else.
Go for a walk
Going for a walk can fresh up your mind. According to scientific research, walking reduces stress levels. So, when you feel sad, you want to spend some time alone. You should go for a walk once in a while. it will reduce your stress level and also keep your body fit.
Watch old photos
This is one of the ways I try when I feel sad or lonely. It takes me to a place where beautiful memories have been created. We feel so much has been changed from then.

Listen to songs
According to the research, music helps reduces stress levels in the body. Listening to songs can have a tremendously relaxing effect on your mind and body. The especially slow and classic type of music.
Write a poem or journal
Writing a poem or journal helps you in getting out everything that makes you sad and lonely. There are so many emotions we kept inside of us in a day to day life. So at the end of the day, we all feel so full of them, it starts feeling like heavy. These are the things which if we keep inside start making us feel sad or makes us lonely.
So, writing helps in taking all out. Try to write whatever you are feeling on a piece of paper. Pour every single emotion and watch the pain lessening. Try to do it on a daily basis you will feel much more relaxed day by day.
Take a nap
Take a nap. Yes right. When you don’t know what to do or want to get rid of feeling something for a while. Sleep. Sleep helps you take off your mind from the things which are bothering you.
But sometimes when you are sad or lonely, it is difficult to get some sleep. I would suggest you should try meditation. I understand you can’t learn meditation in a day or two. Just focus on your breathing while you try to sleep. Keep doing it no matter how difficult it gets. It will focus your thoughts on your breathing and eventually you will get sleep.
Clean your room. Cleaning helps in taking your mind off the things which are bothering you. Negative thoughts lead to negative emotions. So, if you focus on something else, your thought will be diverted. Change of thoughts can lead to a change of feeling.
When you sing, your body releases endorphins, the chemicals which make you feel happy. Singing also helps in reducing your level of stress and helps you to relax. Try it. It may help you in a way or another.
I have tried it personally and when I sang an old and favorite song, I started crying with it; loudly. After it, I really felt great. lol
It’s almost impossible to feel sad, bored or lonely when you are dancing. I have tried and it is an amazing idea to get rid of these emotions. When you dance you feel free? Free of every single thing which is chasing you for a very long time.
Talk to someone
This is the last tip and you should do this if all of the things above do not work for you. Sadness and loneliness can be very difficult to deal with. Talk to someone about this. sharing your pain with someone helps you in getting over it. It may not work completely but it will definitely help. There is nothing to be ashamed of asking for help if you feel lonely or need someone to hear. So, go and talk to someone who cares about you.
This can be your parents, friends, siblings or even colleague.
I know from personal experience and understand that feeling all these things can be a pain in the ass but also these are the things that are inevitable. So we have to accept that these are the parts of life and should not be much affected by these things. I hope these tips will help you when you are in need.
