Are you looking for some courage to live your best life? These Winston Churchill famous quotes on life and leadership will give you the wisdom to never give up.
Sir Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill was born on 30 November 1874 was a British statesman and also a writer. He is considered to be one of the greatest and most influential figures in the history of Britain and the English-speaking world.
Winston Churchill served as Prime Minister twice (1940-1945 and 1951-1955). He served as Chancellor of the Exchequer, First Lord of the Admiralty, Home Secretary, and Minister of Defence over many years. He was granted an honorary citizen of the United States by Congress after his death in 1965.
Under his leadership, the Allied forces, together with the U.S. and the Soviet Union, gained a victory against the Axis powers during WWII. Famous for his wartime leadership as the Prime Minister, Churchill has many roles including a soldier, Nobel prize winner writer, prolific painter, and historian.
Nobody would believe that in his childhood he was very weak in studies and took three tries before getting into the British Royal Military College. His father died when he was just 21 years old and rarely saw his mother at that age.
Winston Churchill was one of the greatest orators in history. His speeches are still quoted today, and his delivery has been studied to further the art of public speaking. He was also named as the Greatest Briton of All Time in a poll conducted by the BBC in 2002.
Winston Churchill died on 24 January 1965, nearly two weeks after he had his final stroke. It was coincidentally his father’s seventieth death anniversary.
